How to install

Check our install video or follow the steps below to assemble your panels with ease, it will take you less than you think.

The WVH® panel range has been designed to be installed with ease.

We recommend either screwing the panels straight into the wall, using the correct fixings, through the acoustic felt or if you are looking to increase the sound properties further, screwing them into batons. If installing on ceilings, the panels can be screwed straight into ceiling joists.

  • Step 1.

    Measure the wall

  • Step 2.

    Mark the cutting lines on the panel with a pencil and tape.

  • Step 3.

    Use a fine tooth saw to cut the panel along the marked line.

  • Step 4.

    Sand the cut edges of the panel until smooth.

  • Step 5.

    Attach the panel to the wall. Hold the panel in place on the wall.

  • Step 6.

    Drill holes through the black felt into the wall.

  • Step 7.

    Repeat the process for a fuller wall of panels.

Frequently asked questions

  • Each box contains two panels measuring 240cm x 30cm. The total box coverage is 240cm x 60cm.

  • The panels come in one size but can be joined horizontally and vertically. Horizontal joins are seamless, while vertical joins show a small line. Pictures of examples are available upon request.

  • There are three installation options: gluing onto the wall with construction glue or grab adhesive, screwing directly into the wall with appropriate screws, and screwing into 45mm timber battens for optimal sound absorption, with the option of adding Rockwool for Class A sound absorption.

  • Delivery takes 5-10 days if in stock. If waiting for a new production run, it can be 2-3 weeks.

  • Custom sizes are not offered, but panels can be easily cut or joined to fit various sizes.

  • Panels are suitable for these areas if not in direct contact with water. Applying a water-resistant finish to the slats is recommended.

  • Of course! The panels can be installed in these areas, as long as they are not in direct contact with water. We recommend, where possible, applying a water-resistant finish to the front of the slats to give them an extra layer of protection.

  • These panels are designed for indoor use only.

  • Yes, they come fully finished with high-quality oil, ready for installation.

  • The panels can be adjusted to fit around objects by cutting the slats widthways and the felt lengthways.

  • Panels can be mounted on all surfaces including brick, concrete, and plasterboard.

  • The wood used is consistent, but as it is natural, variations like knots and slight colour differences can occur.

  • Yes, you can hide wires behind the panels.

  • Panels are available with a fire-rated felt backing upon request, although the face materials are not fire-rated.

  • Installing with battens allows for mineral wool or other sound insulation materials between the gaps, enhancing sound absorption properties.

  • Unopened acoustic slat wood wall panels can be returned within 30 days after delivery.

  • Yes, sample boxes can be purchased.
